Agarathi Dance Academy (ADA) was founded by independent artist Ram Agarathi, driven by his deep passion for dance. With over 15 years of experience, ADA has grown to serve more than 200 students across Montreal, Ottawa, and Cornwall. The academy offers a wide array of dance classes for all ages, starting from age four through adulthood, in styles such as hip-hop, gaana, dancehall, Bollywood, folk, and fusion.
Ram Agarathi, the visionary behind ADA, is a multi-faceted artist with over a decade of teaching experience. His talents extend beyond dance, as he is also a singer, rapper, lyricist, and choreographer. In collaboration with Steve Cliff, Ram has released several albums and was awarded Best Choreographer at the Thaalam Ultimate Gaana Dance Competition. He also founded and leads the renowned Montreal Maniacs and Taashan dance teams from Concordia and McGill universities, contributing significantly to the local dance scene.
ADA has produced the Laila Majnu dance competition for a Tamil television network and continues to mentor the growing student base in Montreal, Cornwall, and Ottawa. ADA has also organized numerous workshops, performances, and competitions. ADA’s ultimate goal is to provide a platform for young artists to showcase their talents and shine.
